My Story: The pic that shows the whole bike is the "before" pic. The others, showing the front end damage are the "after" pics. I'll never understand the physics behind this accident. I was piloting this bike on the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. Travelling extremely fast (100+), I went into an S- bend, making the right bend fine, and the left bend, tightened up at the end.
What I remember was feeling the bike slide and thinking "Today's my day, I'm going to die on this pavement."
Then reality struck as my left should slammed into the pavement, ripping me from the bike. Somehow, I stood up, uninjured. All you bikers out there, WEAR GOOD GEAR, it's worth the price. I had on a Suzuki leather racing jacket with kevlar shields in the shoulder & elbow. This jacked saved my hide and my life. I was taken to jail once a ranger showed up.
